A concept for a cafe/bar in Peckham, created by exploring the properties of tile spacers and tape. The interior surfaces of the space are covered in graphic, coloured tape patterns which were created using tile spacers to form grids.

The patterns were influenced by Scottish clan tartans and the importance of communities that create such a great atmosphere in Peckham. This is used to create a space which can become both a social hub for community events and also somewhere visually striking to bring more tourism to Peckham.

To brand the space, we made ‘tapeface’ using the same grids as the tape patterns, which could be used both in the building and to advertise it.
